What are the breeding methods and precautions for golden sparrows?

The golden broom, also known as the goldbroom and the purple broom, is a plant of the genus Glechoma in the Fabaceae family. It is also a very popular and easy-to-grow ornamental flower in recent years. The plant has a plump and beautiful shape, lush branches and leaves, and golden flowers blooming in clusters. From a distance, it gives people a warm and bright feeling.

How to breed golden sparrow

1. Pot soil

Golden sparrow is suitable for loose, humus-rich, well-drained slightly acidic or neutral sandy soil. It is best to mix it yourself with leaf mold, pond mud, fine sand, vermiculite, etc. Because the root system is not large, the flowerpot does not need to be too large.

2. Watering

When watering the golden finch, you cannot water it casually, but you need to remember a trick, that is "don't water unless the soil is dry, and water thoroughly when you do." This means don't water the golden finch easily when the soil is not dry, but once you start watering it, you must water it thoroughly enough.

3. Fertilization

Golden finches need different fertilizers in different seasons. For example, in winter when the flowers and plants are dormant, we should choose base fertilizer. In spring when they are about to bloom, we should choose water fertilizer. Finally, after the flowering is over, we should add fertilizer once more.

4. Pruning

The branches and leaves of the golden finch need to be pruned during its growth period. After it blooms, the branches that have bloomed need to be pruned in time to allow the golden finch to quickly grow new branches. During its vigorous period, those branches that have grown too much can be pruned to maintain the beautiful shape of the tree.

Golden Finch Care Precautions

The golden sparrow likes a warm, humid and well-ventilated environment. The most suitable growth temperature is 20-30 degrees. The maintenance temperature in winter cannot be lower than 5 degrees, otherwise the plant will be frozen and affect its later growth.

Generally, the potting soil of golden finches needs to be replaced every 2-3 years. Repotting is usually done in spring, and each time half of the old soil needs to be replaced, and anything that should be trimmed should be trimmed clean.
