Cultivation methods and precautions of rose dendrobium

Growth habit

When looking for planting methods, you still have to first see what kind of environment they are suitable for. This type of rose dendrobium prefers warm and humid places. If these two conditions are met, the requirements for the soil will not be so high. If the environment is suitable, they will grow very fast and bloom in late spring and early summer every year.

Maintenance points

Matrix preparation

As mentioned above, they do not have high requirements for soil, but they like a humid environment. So choose a flower pot with holes on all four sides. Then prepare the carbon roots, bark and other substrates and soak them in clean water for a day to ensure sufficient water and moisture after planting. A layer of broken tiles should be placed at the bottom of the pot, reaching 1/3 of the way up. Put the orchid seedlings and other soaked materials into the basket. If you want to plant more than one plant, be sure to separate the roots of different plants with a substrate so that they can be separated later.

Watering

The newly planted plants should be placed in a cooler location, but there is no need to water them in the pots, just spray some water on the leaves. After about two weeks, new roots have basically sprouted, and then you can put them in the printing shed for maintenance. When the growth is better, you need to maintain alternating dry and wet conditions, and pay special attention to the humidity of the surrounding air. However, you cannot prevent ventilation just to maintain humidity. Since they have aerial roots, air flow and the air permeability of the substrate are extremely important.

Fertilization

Their aerial roots are more suitable for foliar fertilizer. Generally, fertilizer can be used one week after transplanting. At this time, you can use it for three consecutive weeks, once a week. In addition, the Qingming Festival and the Beginning of Winter are good times to apply topdressing, which can be used on the roots or outside the roots.
