What are the cultivation methods and precautions of lucky clover

Clover is easy to grow. It is a common plant in rural areas. It has four leaves and three leaves. Clover is a wild plant, so it is relatively easy to grow. Basically, you can grow one without any care.

How to grow lucky clover

1. Soil

Clover needs to be grown in loose, breathable acidic soil with good drainage and rich in humus. It is recommended to use a mixture of humus, garden soil, peat soil and perlite as the soil for clover.

2. Temperature

Clover is not resistant to low temperatures. The suitable growth temperature is between 15-25 degrees. The temperature range it can withstand is 0 to 35 degrees. If the temperature is below 0 degrees, it will suffer from frost damage, and if the temperature is above 35 degrees, it will be burned by high temperature, both of which will have an adverse effect on it. Therefore, it needs to be kept warm when the temperature is too low, and it needs to be cooled down when the temperature is too high.

3. Lighting

Clover likes light and needs to be given sufficient light to ensure its normal growth. In spring and autumn, it should receive at least 7 hours of sunshine every day. If it does not receive enough light, the plant shape will be scattered. If the light in summer is too scorching, remember to shade it appropriately.

4. Watering

When watering the clover, water it when the soil is dry. Water it thoroughly when the soil is dry, so that the soil can be kept relatively moist. Do not water it too much, as this will cause root rot and affect its normal growth.

5. Fertilization

Providing sufficient nutrients to the clover is the key to its vigorous growth. During the growing season, apply nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to it once a month. Be careful not to use too high a concentration of fertilizer, and do not use only nitrogen fertilizer, as this will have an adverse effect on the plant.

6. Pruning

It is necessary to promptly cut off the dense and yellow branches and leaves of the clover. This can promote the healthy growth of the plant and keep its appearance beautiful. If the petiole of the plant is too long, it can be heavily pruned.

Precautions for the maintenance of lucky clover

When the temperature is high in summer, clover will go into dormancy. At this time, you should reduce the amount of watering and can use spraying instead of watering. During the low temperatures in winter, the amount of watering should also be reduced. It is better to keep the soil dry than wet. Also, pay attention to drainage during the rainy season to avoid excessive moisture in the soil.

When fertilizing the clover, be careful not to splash fertilizer onto the leaves. If it drips onto the leaves, water the plant immediately to alleviate fertilizer damage. Note that the plant will go dormant during periods of high temperature in summer and low temperature in winter, so you can stop fertilizing at this time.
