Breeding methods and precautions of Benlong

Breeding methods and precautions of Benlong

Benlong is easy to grow and grows quickly. Its maintenance method is very similar to that of some herbaceous plants. It requires large flowerpots and the soil must have sufficient fertility. Benlong has relatively low temperature requirements, but during daily maintenance, the temperature should not be lower than 5 degrees.

How to breed Benlong

1. Soil

Benlong is suitable for growing in fertile, loose, well-drained and breathable granular loam. It can be planted in peat soil mixed with vermiculite and perlite, or you can directly buy special soil for succulents and plant it in pots.

2. Lighting

Benlong needs to receive light regularly for at least 5-6 hours a day. During daily maintenance, it can be placed in a south-facing balcony, glass greenhouse or other place with sufficient light.

3. Temperature

The temperature requirement of the Pennisetum is relatively low. At night and in winter when the temperature is relatively low, the Pennisetum can be moved to a warm environment for maintenance, which is conducive to the growth of the Pennisetum.

4. Watering

The dragon plant needs to be watered according to the principle of watering when the soil is dry and watering when it is wet. It can only be watered when new buds emerge. The amount of watering should not be too much. In winter, the number of watering should be appropriately reduced.

Matters Needing Attention in Maintenance of Benlong

When caring for the dragon plant, you need to pay attention to the fact that it does not have many diseases and pests. In the hot summer, in addition to paying attention to ventilation and air permeability, you also need to add a small amount of furadan to the potting soil. You can also frequently spray carbendazim and thiophanate-methyl solutions to prevent diseases and pests.
