March to April every year is the flowering time for tulips, and its flowering period is about 3 to 5 months. The natural growth and flowering period of tulips is from November to March of the following year, and the peak flowering period is around the Spring Festival.

How to control flowering period

Early facilitation

After the tulip bulbs are harvested in mid-to-late June each year, they can be placed at a temperature of 34°C for about a week. Then gradually lower the temperature and place it at 17-20℃ for about 50-55 days, which can promote the differentiation of flower buds.

The temperature condition of 7-9℃ is suitable for cold storage. It can be planted from late September to early October every year and will bloom in December.

Mid-term promotion

The bulbs are harvested in June and July every year. First, place the bulbs in a temperature condition of 17-20℃, wait for the differentiation of the marks, and then put them in a 9℃ environment for refrigeration for 1 week. The flowers planted in September will bloom in February of the following year.

Late promotion

The bulbs harvested in July each year can be stored in an environment of 23℃ for about 50-55 days, and then stored in an environment of 20℃ for 1 month. When the weather turns cool in autumn, place them in an environment of 17℃ and plant them in November. They will bloom at the end of March.
