Lotus orchid is not very difficult to grow. The plant is not demanding on soil and has strong vitality. Just provide it with suitable growth temperature and water.

How to cultivate lotus orchid

1. Watering

The vitality of the lotus orchid is relatively tenacious, and its requirements for water are not too high. As long as its basic physiological functions are guaranteed, the water requirement is different in different seasons.

2. Fertilization

If you want to fertilize the lotus orchid, it is recommended to use nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer as the main fertilizer. It must be diluted before use. Fertilize once every 15 days or so, and spray potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution regularly.

3. Temperature

Lotus orchid prefers a cool growing environment, the most suitable temperature is around 15-20℃. The plant is not heat-resistant. If the ambient temperature reaches above 35℃, the plant will easily grow poorly.

4. Soil

The lotus orchid is not very demanding on the soil, but it is best to provide it with loose, fertile, well-drained soil. You can use peat soil, leaf mold, sandy soil, perlite, etc. to mix and prepare it.

5. Lighting

Lotus orchid needs sunlight during its growth period. It is best to maintain it under bright light and pay attention to timely shading and sun protection to prevent the patterns on the leaves from fading.

The lotus orchid has relatively high requirements for the environment. During the breeding period, it is necessary to maintain a good ventilation environment, which can promote air circulation and avoid adverse effects caused by a stuffy environment.
