Clematis seeds are not suitable for sowing in summer. It is best to sow Clematis seeds around October in autumn. You can also choose to sow them in spring. The germination rate of fresh seeds of the year is higher. Select healthy, plump and full seeds, soak the seeds in water, and carefully peel off half of the shell after it softens.

1. Sowing time: Clematis seeds are best sown in autumn. October each year is more suitable for sowing. In addition to autumn sowing, you can also choose to sow in spring. The suitable temperature can meet the growth needs and promote seed germination and growth.

2. Collect seeds: Generally speaking, fresh seeds of the year have a higher germination rate. Do not use seeds that have been there for too long, otherwise the germination rate of the seeds will be affected. Select healthy, plump and full seeds, and remove shriveled, dry, diseased and insect-infested seeds.

3. Seed processing: The seed shell of Clematis is relatively hard, so you should pay attention to the processing before sowing. The seeds need to be soaked in water before sowing. They can be soaked for about a week, and the water should be changed once a day. Then wait until the seed shell becomes soft, and carefully peel off half of the seed shell.

4. Sowing soil: Prepare the soil before sowing. Its seeds are suitable for germination and growth in breathable, loose and fertile soil. You can mix sandy soil, garden soil and humus soil and stir them evenly. Before sowing, disinfect and sterilize the soil in advance to remove the bacteria and insect eggs in it.

5. Start sowing: put the prepared soil into the container, then organize the soil, sow the seeds evenly, cover with a thin layer of soil, water it to maintain humidity, pay attention to management after sowing, maintain good temperature and humidity, and the seeds will germinate one after another.

You can mix sand, garden soil and humus soil, stir evenly, sow the seeds evenly, cover with a thin layer of soil and wait for germination.

2. It takes at least one and a half months for Clematis seeds to germinate after sowing, and usually it takes two months, three months, or even half a year.

3. During the growth period of Clematis, liquid fertilizer can be applied once every half a month, and the soil should be kept moist, but no water accumulation should occur. It has strong disease resistance and generally will not suffer from serious diseases and insect pests. However, it needs ventilation in summer, cooling treatment should be done, and drainage should be done in the rainy season.
