Grafting technology of yellow bark tree

1. Cleft grafting

Cut the rootstock seedling when it is 15-25 cm above the ground, flatten the cut, and then cut a 1.5 cm cut downward on the rootstock surface.

Use a knife to cut a downward slope of about 1.5 cm on both sides of the lower end of the scion branch 0.3 cm away from the bud to form a wedge. Then cut the scion branch, insert the wedge surface of the scion into the rootstock, and finally seal it with plastic film.

2. Cutting

Cut off the rootstock when it is 15-25 cm above the ground, make a cut along the cambium layer at the straight part of the rootstock, the length of the cut is 1.5 cm, and make an oblique cut at the lower end of the branch 0.3 cm away from the bud.

Then cut out a smooth surface that is slightly longer than the rootstock, cut off the scion branch, insert the scion into the interface of the rootstock, and then seal it completely with plastic film.
