What to do if the goldfish spider flower buds dry up and wither

What to do if the goldfish spider flower buds dry up and wither

1. Suitable temperature

Reason: If the normal maintenance temperature is lower than 10℃ or higher than 30℃, its growth will be significantly inhibited. If flower buds have already formed under unfavorable conditions, it will protect itself by dropping the buds.

Solution: It is best to provide the goldfish spider plant with a growth environment of 20-25℃. Temperatures below 15℃ are acceptable, but not below 10℃.

2. Reasonable water and fertilizer

Reason: Goldfish Chlorophytum likes moist soil. If the soil in the pot is too dry or there is water accumulation for a long time, its root system will be damaged, causing buds to fall off. In addition, the regular use of raw fertilizers may also cause flower buds to fall off.

Solution: The soil in the pot should be kept moist, neither dry for a long time nor waterlogged for a long time. During the growing season, apply decomposed organic fertilizer once every half month. It should not be too much or too concentrated. When the temperature is lower or higher than the growth room temperature, fertilization should be stopped.

3. Suitable soil

If you want the goldfish plant to bloom normally, you must give it ideal soil. It is recommended to use leaf mold, peat soil and perlite, mixed in a ratio of 4:2:2. You can add a little decomposed organic fertilizer to it, so as to meet its growth needs.

4. Timely pruning

Reason: The branches of the goldfish spider plant are somewhat vine-like. If left unattended for a long time, it will grow very long, and the water and nutrient supply at the front end will be insufficient, and its flower buds will dry up.

Solution: Pruning the goldfish spider plant in time to make its branches dense, short and strong is also a way to ensure that its flowers can bloom normally and not dry up and fall off prematurely.
