How to make the spider plant bloom (how to take care of it after it blooms to make it grow more tendrils)

How should we cultivate it at home so that it can grow many creeping stems and hang down many small spider plants with hanging stems? It will be most beautiful if it hangs directly outside the pot.

In fact, if you want to make the spider plant bloom out of the pot, you can do it through four aspects: watering, fertilizing, light, and temperature. If you do these four things well, it is not difficult to grow a spider plant that blooms out of the pot.

First, the use of planting materials:

If you want to grow spider plants well and make them grow out of the pot, you need to make the planting material loose and breathable, without water accumulation, compaction, and fertile.

When planting spider plants, mixed planting materials are used. Take one-third of farmland soil, humus soil and freshwater river sand and mix them. When planting, some fermented nutrients will be buried at the bottom of the flowerpot as base fertilizer.

Second, the environment for growing Chlorophytum:

The most suitable growing environment for spider plants is a temperature between 16 and 28 degrees Celsius and 5 to 6 hours of sunlight per day.

When the temperature is high, the spider plant should be ventilated and shaded appropriately. When the temperature is below 8 degrees Celsius, the spider plant should be moved indoors. The location for indoor maintenance should have bright light, with 2 to 3 hours of weak light every day.

Third, watering method:

Chlorophytum is also a drought-tolerant plant. We often see many Chlorophytum in outdoor green belts with slightly dry tips, but they are growing very well. At this time, because it relies on the sky for water, it has dry tips.

When we water the spider plant at home, we should wait until the planting material is completely dry before watering. Spraying the leaves with water every day can replenish water and increase humidity, so that the tips will not dry out, and there will be no water accumulation and root rot.

Fourth, fertilization method:

If you want to grow spider plants to overflow the pot, you must master the method and frequency of fertilization. If you don’t apply enough fertilizer, it will be difficult for the pot to overflow, and if you apply too much fertilizer, the roots will burn.

When caring for spider plants, it is recommended to apply fertilizer when the temperature is between 15 and 28 degrees Celsius. Fertilization requires about 5 hours of sunlight so that nutrients can be absorbed. Fertilization is done by diluting "fermented rice water" with water at a ratio of 1:3 and watering thoroughly.

It is not recommended to apply fertilizer in the first year of caring for spider plants. After the second year, you can apply fertilizer once a month when the temperature is suitable.

Fifth, post-potting treatment and then potting again:

After the spider plant has grown out of its pot, it needs to be divided. Too many plants are crowded together, competing for nutrients, blocking each other's light, and hindering ventilation, which will quickly lead to various yellow leaf diseases.

When the temperature is between 18 and 28 degrees Celsius, you can divide the spider plant. The utility knife should be sterilized when dividing the plant. When planting, about 3 plants can be planted together.
