1. Seed selection: Seedlings grown from small-grained seeds will be very small and grow relatively weakly, so you must choose large-grained seeds. In this way, the seedlings grown will be relatively sturdy and their later growth can be guaranteed. Among these seeds, there will be some shriveled ones. To pick them out, a simple method is to pour them directly into clean water and soak them for about ten minutes. Throw away the ones floating on the surface.

2. Germination: Soak the selected seeds in water at room temperature for about two to three days, changing the water once a day. Take out the seeds and place them on plastic paper. Use a small spray bottle to sprinkle water once every morning or evening to keep the seeds moist. After a week, they will germinate.

3. Sowing: The selected substrate must be deep and breathable, preferably sandy soil or loess. Dig a small trench and place the seeds sideways in it.

The best time to visit in subtropical areas is from early to late March, and in temperate areas it can be from late March to mid-April.
