How to use plant nutrient solution (correct use of flower and green plant nutrient solution)

Is the nutrient solution watered on the roots or sprayed on the leaves?

The main function of nutrient solution is to help the plant leaves grow more vigorous and greener. Generally speaking, spraying the leaves directly is more effective than watering the soil. Spraying it on the leaves can allow the leaves to absorb it directly and quickly .

If we water it in the soil, the nutrients need to be absorbed by the roots and then transported to the leaves, so the timing is not as timely as spraying the leaves.

The diluted nutrient solution that is not used up in leaf spray can be used to water the soil, making the best use of it and avoiding waste. The following is a brief introduction to the use of nutrient solution.

1. Hydroponic addition

Nutrient solution is often used in hydroponic plants. It can increase the nutrients for hydroponic plants and allow the roots to absorb nutrients directly into the water.

We can add nutrient solution to the hydroponic container regularly, usually once every 10 days. Generally, the concentration of the nutrient solution is required to be thinner, and the water after adding the nutrient solution needs to be fully shaken to enable the nutrient solution to fully dissolve in the water.

Change the water every 10 days in spring, autumn and winter, and every three days in hot summer, adding 3-4 drops each time.

2. Use by spray

Add the nutrient solution to the water, stir it thoroughly to make the solution uniform, and then spray the diluted nutrient solution onto the leaves and around the roots.

This can replenish nutrients, make the leaves become shiny, sprout new buds continuously, and also resist diseases and pests.

3. Mix the soil

When plant nutrient solution is used for soil-grown plants, it can be mixed with soil as base fertilizer to encourage the roots of the plants to absorb nutrients, provide sufficient nutrition for vigorous growth, and promote rooting . We can also drip it into water first to mix evenly as topdressing, and then pour the diluted nutrient solution into the flowerpot.

Precautions for using plant nutrient solution

Plant nutrient solution should be stored in suitable containers, usually glass or plastic containers, and it needs to be diluted according to a certain ratio when used. Do not use too much, and the best frequency is about 10-15 days.
