How to grow Staghorn fern

1. Soil preparation

Because it is an epiphytic plant, the loam preparation may be different. You can use leaf mold, fern roots, moss, and then add decomposed nutrients to it.

2. Reasonable watering

Since it is a moisture-loving plant, it needs frequent watering for good growth. Growth is very vigorous in spring, and the demand for water is high, which must be supplied in a timely manner. The climate is dry in summer and water evaporates quickly, so avoid applying water at noon. The temperature starts to get cooler from the end of autumn, and the water demand decreases in winter. Just add a little water, not too much.

3. Provide light

It does not have too many requirements for light. It can grow vigorously as long as it is given some light, but semi-shade is generally more suitable for growth. The summer sun is very strong, so you need to provide adequate shade. If the plants are exposed to strong sunlight, they will die. When the light intensity decreases in winter, you can have more contact with it.

4. Ambient temperature

The most suitable temperature is between 18-30 degrees Celsius. It cannot tolerate high temperature or cold, and neither too high nor too low temperature is suitable. Keep it in a cool place in summer and in a warm room in winter.
