Advantages and Disadvantages of Toffee Rose

Toffee is a cut rose variety from Ecuador, released in 2005. Its flower color is very rare, very close to the color of Toffee, which is tan and brown. Moreover, Toffee rose has many advantages, but its disadvantage is that it is prone to black spot disease, especially in summer.

①Good looking

The toffee plant is 120 cm tall, the flower diameter is 5 to 6 cm, it is brown and lightly fragrant, and it blooms repeatedly for many seasons.

②Long flowering period

The flowers of toffee have a sweet milky scent , the flower stems are 60 to 90 cm long, the single flowering period is long, and they can last for about 15 days in a vase .

③Good disease resistance

The key is that Toffee has good disease resistance and blooms very frequently. Each flower blooms spontaneously, and the flower shapes are never repeated, which brings out its personality to the extreme. It is generally not easy to get sick during the entire growing season, unless the growing environment is too humid, which may cause disease.

Toffee Rose Care Tips

Frequent ventilation

If the environment we maintain is not well ventilated, it is easy to cause the leaves of roses to rot, so we must do a good job of ventilation. Some flower friends said that I grow them in a closed balcony, so you should not grow roses.

If you really want to raise it, then we have to add ventilation equipment artificially, such as adding a ventilation fan for internal and external ventilation, or if we don't raise many. After watering, you can find an electric fan to blow it, and turn it on for a few hours every day. In this way, artificially increasing ventilation ensures that it is not easy to get insects or get sick.

Fertilize frequently

Fertilizer is essential for growing roses, because if the rose is growing, it grows very fast, and the branches and leaves grow very luxuriantly. If it is blooming, it can bloom dozens or hundreds of flowers at a time. If it grows big enough, it can even bloom thousands of flowers, so we must ensure that there is enough fertilizer.

Some flower lovers buy roses and only apply fertilizer once or twice a year. In this way, the leaves will turn yellow, the seedlings will be weak, so fertilizer should be added regularly.

Generally, you use a balanced amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium during the growing season, so that nitrogen fertilizer can promote the growth of branches and leaves. Among them, potassium fertilizer can make the trunk thicker and the root system more developed.
