How and when to plant daisy seeds: soak for several hours before sowing

To harvest daisy seeds, you have to wait until they are fully grown and mature, usually after the flowers wither. Generally, they are harvested in late May to early June, and then dried in the sun, and the seeds will fall off automatically.

When sowing daisy seeds, it is best to wait until the temperature reaches 18-20℃ before planting, and also choose seeds without diseases and insect pests for planting.

Daisy seed sowing time

The sowing time of daisy seeds is generally from August to September every year. Daisy prefers to be cold-resistant during its growth process, and also likes plenty of sunshine and cool climate. However, it is not shade-tolerant, high temperature-tolerant and severe frost-tolerant. When the temperature is relatively high in summer, it will not bloom well and may even wither.

Daisy seed sowing method

1. Seed treatment

Before planting daisy seeds, you must first select daisy seeds with full grains and uniform size. In order for the seeds to germinate as quickly as possible, soak them in warm water and take them out after one day . This can shorten the dormancy period of the seeds and facilitate germination.

2. Sowing

The soil for growing daisy seedlings must be loose, breathable and fertile. The soil should be sprayed with water before planting. The seeds can be mixed with fine sand and then evenly sprinkled on the surface of the soil. Finally, cover it with a thin layer of soil and keep the temperature at around 20℃ in the later stage.
