Cherry radish seeds can be planted directly if needed. If they need to be preserved, they need to be placed in a closed space. The seeds can be kept for one to two years.

Cherry radishes can keep their own seeds. After flowering and fruiting, the seeds will fall out. They will bloom and bear seeds in spring and summer, so you can pick the seeds.

Planting Cherry Radish Seeds

1. Cherry radish is also called four-season radish. It can be planted all year round. The best time to sow is in spring and autumn, specifically from March to May and September to October each year. The suitable germination temperature is between 15-30 degrees. After germination, it can be moved to a place with sufficient sunlight. When planting in spring, it is necessary to prevent pests such as aphids and diamondback moths in advance.

2. Cherry radish is suitable for planting in loose, fertile, water-retaining and well-drained sandy loam. You can water the potting soil thoroughly, then sow the seeds on the soil surface, cover it with about 1 cm of soil, keep the soil moist, provide a maintenance temperature of 20 to 25 degrees, and it will germinate in about 3 to 4 days.

3. Generally, the leaves will begin to grow 7 days after germination, and thinning can be carried out. When about 4 to 5 leaves grow, thinning can be carried out again. About 20 days after sowing, solid fertilizer can be applied once. Sufficient light needs to be provided during the growth period. The flowering period can be entered under more than 12 hours of sunshine. Insufficient sunlight affects the accumulation of photosynthetic products and the quality decreases.
