Passion fruit planting in the north

Passion fruit is usually planted in spring or autumn when the temperature is relatively low. It is a tropical fruit and the most suitable growth temperature is 20℃~30℃. If the temperature is below zero in the north, its growth will be greatly affected. Therefore, if the temperature is too low in the year of planting, it can be planted in a greenhouse.

Passion fruit suitable planting areas

The planting area of passion fruit is currently increasing in Guangxi, Guangdong, Sichuan, Yunnan and other places in my country. The planting of passion fruit is related to temperature, water, light intensity, and soil. Currently, people in Hunan, Jiangxi and other places are planting passion fruit outdoors, but it is still necessary to pay attention to the planting environment.

Passion fruit planting method

1. Seed treatment

To plant passion fruit, you need to prepare the seeds in advance and soak the selected seeds in warm water for about a day. This can increase the probability of seed germination and is also beneficial for later cultivation.

2. Soil selection

Passion fruit does not have particularly high requirements for soil, but the most suitable soil can improve its fruit quality and yield. We can use rotten leaves, peat soil mixed with garden soil to prepare planting soil, and add an appropriate amount of base fertilizer to the soil. Such soil is very suitable for growing passion fruit.

3. Start sowing

After the preparation work is done, you can plant passion fruit. Sprinkle the seeds on the soil, cover it with a thin layer of soil, spray water on the soil appropriately to keep the soil moist. If the temperature is relatively low at the time, be sure to keep warm and prevent cold, and then you can cultivate it normally.
