How to fertilize lavender and what fertilizer to use

1. Fertilization time

The first thing is to change the soil regularly, preferably once a year or two, and add base fertilizer to it. In addition, during the growth stage, the growth is more vigorous and the amount of fertilizer required is relatively large.

2. Fertilizer Types

When choosing base fertilizer, mainly use some organic fertilizer. It needs to be decomposed fertilizer, don't apply raw fertilizer. Top dressing can be done with liquid fertilizer or granular compound fertilizer, which can be bought directly from the flower shop. If there is special fertilizer for flowers, it is also more suitable.

3. Fertilization method

1. Prepare the base fertilizer and substrate first, then mix them, fill them into the flowerpot, and plant the plants. If you choose liquid fertilizer as top dressing, you need to add a lot of water and then apply it. Don't apply concentrated fertilizer. If you choose granular fertilizer, you need to dig a hole in the substrate and put it in, and it will slowly take effect.

2. You don’t need to apply top dressing too often. Once or twice a month is enough to basically meet its requirements.

IV. Precautions

Before flowering, a certain amount of fertilizer can be applied to promote flowering. However, there is no need to fertilize when the plant is in bloom. Furthermore, when it is in its dormant period, application should be suspended.
