What is the best row spacing and plant spacing for mung bean planting?

Mung bean planting spacing

Mung beans need to be planted at a reasonable density, so the planting spacing needs to be determined according to the variety and season. For example, for spring-sown upright varieties, 7,000 to 8,000 seedlings per acre are required, and semi-climbing varieties of mung beans require 6,000 to 7,000 seedlings per 667 square meters .

For summer sowing of mung beans, 12,000 to 13,000 seedlings are required per 667 square meters. Usually, clear seeding or row sowing is adopted, with a sowing depth of 3 to 4 cm, a row spacing of 50 cm or 60 cm, and a plant spacing of about 15 cm or 20 cm.

Mung bean yield per mu

The yield of mung bean per mu is about 100-150 kilograms. It will mature two to three months after planting. When the temperature reaches a certain level during the growth period, mung bean will bloom. Mung bean is a plant that is afraid of waterlogging. Unsuitable environmental conditions will affect its yield. If you want to increase the yield of mung beans, you need to control watering and apply fertilizer reasonably.

Mung bean harvest time

Mung beans grow very fast, and their growth cycle is about 70 to 110 days. Before sowing, the seeds must be soaked, and they will germinate in about two days.

It can be planted when the roots grow to about 0.5 cm. The best planting period is between late April and early May every spring, and it can be harvested in August.
