Money tree quick rooting method cutting propagation rooting method

The leaves of the Money Tree are relatively thick, dark green and very bright. Most people like to grow one in a pot at home. Usually, the Money Tree is propagated by cuttings. If you want it to take root quickly, you need to take careful care of it.

1. Prepare the soil

Before planting money tree cuttings, prepare the soil for planting. Mix vermiculite and garden soil and then plant the money tree. The soil should have good air permeability and water permeability. Planting money tree cuttings will be very beneficial for the rooting of the money tree.

2. Choose branches

Take a branch of the money tree, leave a leaf on it, cut an oblique notch at the bottom, and insert these branches into the pre-prepared soil. The depth of the cuttings should be about 2 cm, and the petiole should be higher than the soil to avoid the leaves being buried in the soil and getting diseased.

3. Watering after cutting

After the cuttings are done, use a sprinkler to water them thoroughly. Since the depth of the cuttings is very shallow, watering should be done to avoid washing away or washing them crookedly. Using a sprinkler to water can avoid this situation. In addition, the sprinkler can water the cuttings evenly and it is not easy to create large holes in the soil.

4. Maintenance after cutting

To keep the soil moist, you can cover the money tree with plastic film and move it to a shaded location for germination. You do not need to cover it with film, but you must provide a moist growing environment. Spray it several times a day, especially in the early stages, to hydrate the leaves, so that the money tree can take root early.
