The best way to quickly root green radish in hydroponics

The cultivation method of green radish is relatively simple, and it is called the "lazy plant" by people. If the green radish does not take root when it is hydroponically cultivated, it may be that the wrong branches are selected, or there are some problems with the water. If you want the green radish to take root quickly, you can start with temperature, light, water, cuttings and other aspects.

1. Temperature

The suitable temperature for hydroponic growth of green radish is 15-25℃. When the temperature is lower than 10℃, the growth rate of green radish will be slow, which is not conducive to the rooting of the plant. When hydroponically cultivating, the temperature can be controlled at around 20℃, and it will take root and survive quickly.

2. Lighting

Hydroponic green radish needs to be placed in a semi-shaded place or a place with diffuse light. It cannot withstand direct sunlight. It needs shade in summer and can be placed on a sunny balcony in winter.

3. Moisture

When hydroponically cultivating green radish, it is appropriate to use rainwater or river water. Do not use tap water directly. If tap water is used, it needs to be exposed to the sun for 2-3 days. It is best to add 2-3 drops of nutrient solution. Change the water every 2-3 days. Continue to add nutrient solution after changing the water. The rooting speed of the green radish will be accelerated.

4. Select the cuttings

It is critical to select branches for hydroponic green radish. Do not select thin branches. It is appropriate to select thick, disease-free, well-growing branches, and preferably those with aerial roots. After cutting the branches, you can soak the branches in rooting water solution for 5-10 minutes, or apply rooting powder to the bottom of the branches, which can help the green radish take root quickly.
