How to quickly root litchi cuttings Rooting techniques for cutting propagation

Litchi can be propagated by cuttings, but this method is not commonly used and the survival rate is low. If you want to use cuttings, you must prepare suitable soil and cuttings, and also carefully maintain and provide a suitable environment so that it can take root faster.

1. Prepare the soil

For litchi cuttings, the soil for cuttings must be prepared in advance. Loose and fertile weakly acidic to neutral soil can be used. The soil should be treated in advance and the soil should be cultivated and prepared.

2. Cut the cuttings

Choose a 4-6 year old mother tree that is vigorously growing and free of pests and diseases. Cut strong branches with full growth, full buds, and 2-4 buds from the mother tree. Cut them into a length of about 20-30 cm. Then place them in a cool place to dry until the cut stops dripping.

3. Dip in rooting water

By dipping in rooting water, you can increase the speed of rooting. Soak the cut cuttings in Na's 778 inducer. After soaking for about 2-3 hours, take them out and place them aside to dry. Then wrap them with fresh lychee leaves, wrap them with a layer of wet towel, and then place them in a cool environment.

4. Take cuttings

Put the prepared cutting medium into the container, and then insert the processed cuttings into it, to a depth of about 2.5-3 cm. After cutting, gently press and water thoroughly. You can cover it with plastic wrap to keep warm and moisturize. Spray the rooting solution once every 8-10 days to promote stable rooting, and then lift the plastic film.
