How to deal with Dendrobium after it blooms How to manage it after it blooms

Post-flowering treatment of Dendrobium

1. Timely pruning

After the dendrobium has finished blooming, the withered flowers should be cut off, and the branches and leaves should be properly pruned to prevent excessive consumption of nutrients for its growth, which is conducive to blooming again in the second year. After pruning, the dendrobium can be placed in a place with air circulation and scattered light, and water can be sprayed around it to increase the air humidity and prevent it from being too dry.

2. Add fertilizer

Dendrobium consumes a lot of nutrients when it blooms. If it is not replenished in time, it will be difficult for it to continue growing, so pay attention to adding fertilizer, but the concentration cannot be too high, otherwise it will cause root burn. You can dilute it with water and then apply it once every half a month.

How to grow Dendrobium

If the climate is suitable during the maintenance of Dendrobium, its flowering period will last from January to around June, and the flowering period will last for half a year. Its peak flowering period is between April and May, and it only blooms once a year.

1. When caring for Dendrobium, place it in a location where it is exposed to scattered sunlight to speed up its flowering. The growth temperature of Dendrobium is around 15 to 30 degrees. The temperature in winter should not be lower than 5 degrees, otherwise it will be frostbite.

2. It is necessary to provide sufficient water to the Dendrobium. It is best to water it thoroughly at one time. During its growth period, the air humidity should be maintained at a certain level. You can spray water on its leaves and in the air, which is conducive to the flowering of the Dendrobium.
