Tulip seed planting time

The best season to sow tulips is in autumn, specifically around October. They will bloom 45-60 days after planting, as long as they are not sown in extremely cold weather, otherwise the plants will not take root.

How to plant tulip seeds

1. Preparation of potting soil

Before planting tulips, you need to prepare the flower pots and soil. The diameter of the flower pots can be about 20 cm. The soil should be breathable, fertile and loose. You can also add some base fertilizer to it. Use leaf mold and sandy soil in a ratio of 6:3.

2. Sowing

Place the tulip seeds in the flowerpot, don't plant them too deep, then slowly fill in the soil and compact the soil around it.

3. Planting and maintenance

After sowing, the plants should be watered thoroughly. If the soil is too dry, it will be difficult for germination. After the plants sprout, they should be fertilized once every 10 days or so.
