Grape hyacinth post-flowering treatment

1. Do not take the bulbs

After the grape hyacinth has finished blooming, you should first cut off the remaining flowers, so that more nutrients can be accumulated. Then wait until the flowers and leaves gradually wither, and then you can cut them all off. Then put it in a cool place with the flowerpot, water it regularly and in moderation, and ensure that the potting soil is not too dry.

2. Take out the bulbs

First, cut off the withered flowers and leaves of the grape hyacinth, then take the bulb out of the pot and set it aside to dry, then put it in a cooler environment and keep it dry. When the temperature drops, you can plant the bulb in the prepared pot and soil.

How to grow grape hyacinth

The flowering period of grape hyacinth is generally in spring, specifically between March and May. If properly maintained, it can last for more than three months, but the flowering time will also vary depending on the climate. It blooms once a year and needs to be watered frequently during the flowering period, but be careful not to accumulate water, otherwise the roots will easily rot.

1. Temperature: When caring for grape hyacinth, you need to provide a suitable environment. The best growth temperature is between 15 and 30 degrees. If it can be controlled within this range, it will grow better.

2. Light: Grape hyacinth can be placed in a place with scattered light for maintenance. In spring and autumn, it is best to move it outdoors to get more sunlight. When the light is strong, shade it in time to prevent it from sunburn.
