Can Dendrobium be transplanted in autumn? Transplanting season and method

Can Dendrobium be transplanted in autumn?

Dendrobium can be transplanted in autumn. The requirements for plant transplanting are relatively high in previous years. It is best to do it when the average daily temperature is 15-30℃. It is not suitable for transplanting when the temperature is too low or too high.

Dendrobium transplanting method in autumn

1. Before transplanting Dendrobium, you need to choose plants with dense growth, usually after they have bloomed. We need to remove the rotten and old roots of the plants, and then disinfect the wounds.

2. It is best to choose a porous ceramic pot for planting Dendrobium, and then prepare the substrate with peat moss, charcoal blocks, bark blocks, etc.

3. You can put some broken bricks or tiles at the bottom of the flowerpot, then place the plant in the center of the flowerpot and put in the prepared soil matrix. After transplanting, place the plant in a cool, ventilated environment with scattered light.

Precautions for transplanting Dendrobium

1. Dendrobium has relatively high requirements for soil. When transplanting Dendrobium, you need to use humus soil with good drainage, and then place some pebbles on the surface of the potting soil, so as to achieve the effect of moisturizing.

2. After transplanting Dendrobium, it is necessary to provide it with a suitable maintenance temperature and control the ambient temperature at around 20-30℃. If it is a greenhouse, it must be ventilated and sprayed with water about 3-5 times a day.
