How often should you fertilize your orange tree?

There is no fixed frequency for fertilizing orange trees. The amount of fertilizer required in different periods is different. Generally, you can apply decomposed liquid fertilizer every 7-10 days during the budding period, and topdressing every 20-25 days in the later growth period. You can also apply foliar fertilizer twice during the entire growth period.

What fertilizer to use for orange trees

1. Base fertilizer : You can apply farmyard manure, chemical fertilizer, trace element fertilizer, and bacterial fertilizer.

2. Top dressing : Urea, potassium fertilizer, superphosphate, etc. can be applied when the orange tree is young. Be sure to apply fertilizer deeply. After the fruit has expanded, superphosphate, potassium sulfate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, etc. can be applied to promote fruit coloring.

3. Fruit-enhancing fertilizer : It is generally applied in late July each year. Organic fertilizer is the main fertilizer, and some superphosphate, potassium fertilizer, etc. can also be added.

Orange tree fertilization method

1. Basal fertilizer : When applying basal fertilizer to orange trees, you can use farmyard manure as the main ingredient, and then add some chemical fertilizers in appropriate amounts. Generally, the method of applying fertilizer in a ring ditch is adopted, expanding outward from the planting hole as the center.

2. Foliar fertilizer : Orange trees can be sprayed with foliar fertilizer throughout the entire growth period, mainly urea solution and potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution. Generally, they can be sprayed on the surface of the plant leaves after dilution.
