How to propagate green jade tree

Green Jade Tree Reproduction Method

When propagating the green jade tree, you can use cutting propagation, sowing propagation, tissue culture and division propagation. Among them, sowing propagation is the most commonly used propagation method, which can be planted on a large scale, while cutting propagation has the highest survival rate and is used more frequently.

Common propagation methods of green jade tree

1. Cutting propagation of green jade tree

When it comes to cuttings of Green Jade Tree, it is best to do it in spring, when the ambient temperature is more conducive to rooting and the survival rate is high. Healthy cuttings with a length of about 8-12 cm need to be used. After disinfection, cuttings can be carried out. After the cuttings are completed, appropriate amount of watering is required to keep them moist.

2. Seeding propagation of green jade tree

When the green jade tree is propagated by seeds, it is usually carried out in spring from March to April. The seeds can be sown directly into the soil and then watered. When sowing, you need to pay attention to controlling the temperature, preferably keeping it between 25-30 degrees.

3. Propagation of Green Jade Tree by Division

When propagating the green jade tree by division, you need to use plants in good growth condition, and then cut strong branches from the top. After cutting, you can plant it in new soil. It needs a good growth environment, and you can use well-drained sandy loam.

4. Tissue culture of green jade tree

Green Jade Tree can also be planted using tissue culture. During the cultivation process, the temperature needs to be kept at around 15 degrees, so that the survival rate of the young branches of the Green Jade Tree is the highest. There must also be a suitable moisture environment during maintenance.
