What fertilizer to use for Clivia and how to prepare it

1. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers

Nitrogen fertilizer, phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer are the main fertilizers it needs. Nitrogen fertilizer can be made from bean cake fertilizer and soybeans, but be careful not to use too much soybeans, because it contains too much nitrogen, which can easily cause the plant's branches and leaves to grow too tall. Phosphate fertilizer is mainly made from bone meal, fish scales and poultry manure. Potassium fertilizer can be made from wood ash and straw ash.

2. Bone meal

Bone meal can improve the immunity of Clivia and enhance the plant's resistance to cold. In addition, it is very rich in calcium, which can promote plant growth and wound recovery. The animal bones left over after meals can be washed, crushed and ground into bone powder for use in plants.

3. Melon seeds

The melon shells and kernels of melon seeds can provide fertilizer to the plants. They can provide the plants with nutrients such as fat and can also play a certain role in heat preservation. You can select some melon seeds with high oil content and bury them in the soil.

4. Rice vinegar

Clivia likes acid, so you can dilute rice vinegar with clean water and then water the plant. This will allow the plant to absorb nutrients better and protect the roots of the Clivia to prevent it from rotting as much as possible.

5. Wood ash

Mixing the ashes left after burning plants with soil and then fermenting them for a period of time can turn them into organic soil fertilizer. It has high nutritional content and can keep the plants warm, making it suitable for use on plants in winter.
