How to grow green radish in hydroponic culture

Chlorophytum comosum likes high temperature, high humidity and semi-shady environment, and avoids direct sunlight. Its leaves will easily turn yellow and fall off under strong light. It is not cold-resistant, and the wintering temperature should not be lower than 10℃. It likes humus-rich, loose, fertile and slightly acidic soil. Water-cultured Chlorophytum comosum can bloom in a month.

1. Change water frequently

The water of hydroponic green radish needs to be changed frequently, especially in the summer when the temperature is high. It is best to change the water every 2-3 days. In spring, autumn and winter, the water can be changed every 3-5 days. Also, maintain a certain air humidity to avoid excessive dryness. You can sprinkle water around the plant to keep it moist.

2. Adequate diffuse light

Pothos is a shade-tolerant plant that does not require too much light, but it likes scattered light very much. Therefore, when we grow it in hydroponics, we try to place it in a place with scattered light. This is very beneficial for the photosynthesis of the pothos. By receiving scattered light for a long time, the pothos will grow very fast and the color of the leaves will be more beautiful.

3. Fertilize regularly

Hydroponic green ivy also needs to be fertilized. If there is insufficient nutrients, after a year or so, its branches and leaves will become weaker and weaker, and it will be difficult to grow new leaves, and it will be difficult to bloom out of the pot. When the temperature is below 30 degrees and above 15 degrees, you can apply a few grains of compound fertilizer at intervals of 7 days, or drop a few drops of hydroponic nutrient solution. Fertilization can be done after changing the water.

4. Wipe the blades with beer

Beer is rich in nutrients, which are converted into nutrients that can be absorbed by plants after being decomposed by microorganisms. You can use expired beer, or beer that has been left for a period of time, and wipe the leaves with a towel. This can make the leaves green and supplement them with certain nutrients.

Precautions for hydroponic green radish maintenance

When growing green ivy in water, root rot is very likely to occur. Pay attention to regular root pruning, cut off rotten roots, disinfect and then re-cultivate in water. Keep it in a semi-shaded environment in the early stage, and move it to a sunny place after it grows roots to avoid direct sunlight.
