When is rapeseed harvested? In which month is it harvested?

Rapeseed harvest time

It takes about 60 days for rapeseed to bloom and end its flowering period. After the flowering period, it will form rapeseed and can be harvested about 30 days later. You must grasp the opportunity and not harvest it too early or too late, otherwise it will affect the yield and quality of rapeseed.

Rapeseed Origin

Rapeseed is produced in many places. Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Gansu and other regions are generally planted at the end of April and mature in September. Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou and other places are generally planted in September of the current year and mature in May of the following year.

Rapeseed planting time and key points

The sowing time of rapeseed depends on local climatic conditions, planting system, pest and disease conditions, etc., but winter and semi-winter varieties can be sown earlier, which is conducive to high yield. The sowing temperature is generally appropriate when the average temperature is 20 degrees. Rapeseed is suitable for direct sowing from late September to early to mid-October, and seedlings and transplanting are carried out in early to mid-September.

Choose double-low rapeseed varieties that are early maturing and resistant to late sowing, have strong seed germination potential, good lodging resistance, long main inflorescence, compact plant shape, and strong disease resistance. Dry the seeds for 2-3 days before sowing to kill the pathogens on the seed surface and increase the seed germination rate. After drying, use the wind to remove the empty grains.
