Is it better to grow garlic sprouts in water or soil?

Garlic sprouts can be grown in two ways: hydroponics and soil culture. Because garlic sprouts themselves are very nutritious, even without soil culture, they can still provide themselves with sufficient nutrients. However, there are also disadvantages. The roots are easily damaged in the hydroponics method, so the choice depends on the individual.

Hydroponic garlic sprout method

Plant treatment: First of all, the garlic needs to be simply processed for hydroponic garlic sprouts. Garlic is used as the seed of garlic sprouts, so you must choose garlic with regular shape and integrity, peel off several layers of old skin on the outside, separate the garlic cloves, select plump garlic grains, and prepare a larger and lower container.

Hydroponic cultivation: In order to fix the prepared garlic cloves, you can pierce them with toothpicks, or simply fix them with a thread, arrange them neatly in a container, add pure water to the container, and be careful not to cover the garlic.

Soil culture method of garlic sprouts

Soil selection: Garlic sprouts are very tolerant of soil quality, and the most common garden soil will be enough. When planting, you can add some manure to ensure adequate nutrition supply for the garlic sprouts.

Planting method: Planting potted garlic seedlings is very simple. Peel off the outer layer of old skin of garlic cloves and insert them vertically into the soil one by one, with half inserted and half exposed. Water them every day to keep the soil moist and wait for them to germinate.
