Growth environment conditions of pine and cypress

Although pine and cypress are planted all over the country in my country, they are mainly distributed in Shaanxi, Anhui, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou and other provinces. It is a kind of tree that grows in frigid zones and high mountains. It lives in cold environments for a long time and has a strong adaptability to temperature. Its leaves are needle-shaped and linear, forming a unique cold-resistant structure.

Growth temperature of pine and cypress

Pine and cypress are highly adaptable to terrestrial environments, and are resistant to both high and low temperatures, especially cold weather. They can withstand temperatures as high as 40 degrees Celsius and as low as minus 60 degrees Celsius. They can grow on exposed mineral soils, sandy soils, and volcanic ash and are very drought-resistant, making them famous pioneer tree species.

Pine and cypress growth humidity

Pines and cypresses prefer a humid environment, but they are also very drought-resistant and can grow in extremely dry environments. In daily life, watering them every 4-5 days can meet their growth needs. Be careful not to cause water accumulation.

Pine and cypress are not very demanding on soil and often grow in barren places such as mountains and rock piles. Because their growth ability is very strong and their requirements for water are very low, they basically have no requirements for soil and will grow better in slightly acidic soil.

Growth cycle and process of pine and cypress

As evergreen tree species, pine and cypress have leaves that have a certain growth period. Generally, pine leaves fall off again every 3 to 5 years, and the leaves are shed alternately. After the new leaves grow out, the old leaves will fall off. That's why we find that pine and cypress trees do not seem to shed their leaves.
