The growth temperature suitable for the growth environment of iron tree

Environmental conditions for the growth of iron trees

Dracaena is cultivated in Taiwan, Guangdong, Hainan, Fujian, Guangxi, Yunnan, Sichuan and other provinces in China. It likes a warm, humid and sunny environment, is slightly tolerant to partial shade, and can also withstand drought. Dracaena grows slowly and can bloom after more than 10 years of cultivation.

Cycas growth temperature

The iron tree likes a warm environment, and the suitable growth temperature is around 20 degrees. It has good cold resistance and can withstand temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees. That is to say, if the temperature is lower than this, the plant may be frozen to death. During the winter, as long as the temperature is above minus 20 degrees, it can survive.

Humidity for growing cycads

The iron tree likes an environment with high air humidity. It needs a certain amount of water to grow. It enters the growth period in early spring and can be watered every 2-3 days. After autumn, watering should be gradually reduced and maintained every 5-7 days. Each time you water, be sure to water it in an appropriate amount and do not allow water to accumulate.

Iron tree growing soil

The iron tree has a wide adaptability to soil and can grow in ordinary soil. It likes a moister environment. It is best to provide moist, fertile, loose, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It has a certain drought resistance, but is not resistant to waterlogging, so the soil drainage should be good.

Cycas revoluta growth cycle and process

The iron tree grows vigorously in spring, but its growth rate is relatively slow. It needs to be cultivated and maintained for more than ten years before it can bloom. If the environment is not suitable, it may not bloom, and it can only grow about 5 cm taller each year. The growth of the iron tree needs to go through the stages of germination, seedling, growth, flowering, and fruiting.
