Cultivation methods and precautions of hydroponic gardenia

1. Breeding methods

1. Lighting

In dim light conditions, the leaves it grows will be greener, but the flowers it blooms will not look good, so it is not recommended to place it in a dark area, and make sure there is sufficient light.

2. Pruning

It has a strong ability to grow new branches, but frequent pruning will have a negative impact on it, so we need to prune it on time to help it grow better and promote the regeneration of branches.

3. Change water

The flowers grown with this method must have their water changed regularly. You cannot change the water suddenly when you remember to do so, because fertilizers are added to the water. Sometimes the moss in the water will tightly wrap the roots of the tree. At this time, you must remove the moss on the roots as much as possible, and then the container for planting the tree must also be clean. Add fertilizer after changing the water. Sometimes it’s okay not to add fertilizer if the tree is already growing well.

4. Fertilization

For this type of flowers, the flowers grown without fertilizer will definitely not look good. You can add the most common compound fertilizer or liquid fertilizer. If it is granular fertilizer, only three to five grains are needed. For liquid fertilizer, the ratio is about one to one thousand.

2. Precautions

1. Flowers planted in soil will not be frozen if placed outdoors as long as the temperature is not lower than five degrees Celsius. However, because they are grown hydroponically, if the temperature is below zero, the culture solution will be frozen and the flowers will be affected. Therefore, you should put it indoors in winter and close the balcony. Generally, you don’t need to change the water in winter. If the water becomes less, just add more water.

2. When the humidity in the air is not enough, spray the leaves to keep them clean and beautiful. Summer is the flowering season. You can move it to a cool and windy area and increase the frequency of watering, otherwise the leaves will easily turn yellow or fall off.
