Beet planting conditions

Beet is a cold-resistant crop. During the seedling stage, it can withstand temperatures as low as minus 5 degrees Celsius. The temperature in the north is relatively low, and during the early spring frost, its advantages of low-temperature resistance and high yield can be demonstrated. During normal growth, it requires sufficient sunlight and a large temperature difference between day and night.

Beet growing environment

Beet generally grows in temperate and cold temperate zones, and grows well in hot and humid seasons as well as cool seasons. It has strong cold resistance, can grow normally in low temperature environments, and has good yields. It does not require much water in the early stages of growth, but requires a lot of water in the middle stages of growth.

How to grow beets

1. Site selection and land preparation: When planting beets, be sure to choose soil that is fertile, flat, and well-drained. Avoid choosing low-lying land with poor drainage. Deep plowing and land preparation are required before planting.

2. Seed selection and processing: When planting beets, you need to use excellent varieties, and they need to be dried for 2-3 hours before sowing, which can increase their germination rate.

3. Planting: When sowing beets, it is best to do so when the climate is more suitable. It is not advisable to sow too late, otherwise it will affect its yield. When sowing, you can directly sow the seeds into the soil.
