How to grow agave in autumn

How to grow agave in autumn

1. Strict control of watering

The vitality of the plant itself is relatively tenacious, and it is not very strict with water during the maintenance process. In summer, due to the temperature, it needs more water to grow stronger. However, with the arrival of autumn, the temperature gradually drops. Too much water will only cause the roots of the plants to rot, so the amount of watering needs to be reduced starting in autumn, which will also help the plants to better survive the winter.

2. Increase in lighting

Its native environment requires sufficient sunlight so that its growth can be guaranteed. If there is insufficient sunlight in the growing environment, the growth of the plant will become weak. The summer sun is relatively strong and prolonged exposure will burn the leaves. However, in autumn, the sunlight conditions gradually deteriorate and the intensity decreases. At this time, it is necessary to increase the sunlight time to maintain the normal growth of the plants.

3. Choose the time to move the pot

Its plants are relatively sturdy, so they can tolerate harsh environments better than other plants. In the south, as long as there is enough sunshine, it can adapt to even cold climates. However, if it is in the northern region, low temperatures will affect the plants, so in late autumn, you need to choose the right time to move the flower pots into the house.
