How to plant the seeds of Pagoda Flower

Choice of planting soil

Planting soil is the substrate needed for seed sowing. Each plant has its own habits, that is, it has its own favorite type of planting soil. This can be seen from the different growth of the same plants in different substrates. Choosing a planting soil that is suitable for the plants you want to plant is an important step in planting potted plants.

The pagoda-flowered hollyhock prefers planting soil rich in humus. Humus is a substance produced by microorganisms through their own physiological metabolism, and is rich in various elements needed for plant growth. In addition to the basic N, H, and O, it also contains elements such as Ca, P, and K for plants to absorb.

In addition, more importantly, it has a certain viscosity, which can bond tiny planting soil particles to form larger aggregates, thus increasing the ventilation capacity of the planting soil and allowing the roots of plants to better exchange gases with the atmosphere.

It also likes well-aerated planting soil. Within a certain range, improving the ventilation capacity of the planting soil itself can also directly increase the rate of gas exchange between the roots of the plant and the air, thereby increasing production capacity and accelerating its growth.

Planting method

Before we start planting, we need to choose a suitable flowerpot, which will allow us to complete the sowing work better. When planting the tower-flowered osmanthus, you should choose a pot with a large diameter but a relatively shallow diameter. Because its root system is not well developed, the flowerpot does not need to be too deep. Also, because some sprouts will grow around its plant, a flowerpot with a larger diameter is needed.

First, fill a flowerpot with planting soil, then use a kettle to water the soil. After the soil surface changes color, you can start sowing.

When sowing, spread the seeds gently on the soil surface without damaging the seeds.

After sowing, there is no need to cover the seeds with soil. Instead, you need to cover the entire flower pot with a layer of plastic film to keep it moist.

This completes the planting work. The seedlings themselves grow slowly and require patience to cultivate.
