How many kilograms can one mu of wild rice produce?

Yield per mu of wild rice stem

Water bamboo is a common vegetable, which is generally divided into single-season and double-season. Single-season water bamboo can produce about 3,000 catties per mu, and double-season water bamboo can produce up to 7,000 catties per mu throughout the year, but the specific yield is still related to the maintenance method.

Profits from wild rice cultivation

The cost of growing water chestnuts is relatively low, including land, labor, water, electricity, transportation and other costs, which is about 2,700 yuan. After deducting the costs, the net profit per mu of land is about 6,300 yuan.

Although茭白 cultivation is widely distributed in my country, the planting areas and output are actually not large. However, the market demand is relatively large and the supply-demand relationship is tight, so the market prospects are still very good.

High-yield planting technology of wild rice stem

1. Seed selection and seedling cultivation

It is best to choose late-maturing, high-yield varieties for planting茭白. The specific selection can be based on the local climate and environment. Generally, there is no need to use the sowing and seedling raising method. You can use old茭白 to divide it into mounds. Generally, more than a thousand small mounds of茭白 are needed per acre of land.

2. Site selection and land preparation

It is best to plant water chestnuts in shallow ponds. Before planting, deep plowing and rough tillage should be carried out, and sufficient base fertilizer should be applied to achieve high yields.

3. Transplant

It is best to transplant茭白 in October and November, and control the row spacing at about 0.8-1 meter. Pay attention to the planting depth. If it is planted too deep, it will not be easy to tiller.
