Spring beans planting time

When planting beans in spring, it should be done in February and March. At this time, all things begin to revive and the seeds have strong germination ability. However, the weather in the northern region is cold and it is necessary to wait until mid-April to plant beans. In this way, the last frost period will have passed after the seedlings emerge, and the seedlings can grow well.

Spring beans planting method

1. Site selection and land preparation

If you want to get a higher yield of beans, you should choose fertile, loose, and well-drained land when planting, and sprinkle rotted farmyard manure into the soil as base fertilizer to improve soil fertility and enable the beans to grow better.

2. Soaking and germination

Before planting beans in spring, choose complete seeds without worm holes, soak the seeds in warm water at 25-30℃ for 4 hours, then take out the bean seeds and place them in a cool, well-ventilated environment to dry.

3. Planting method

When planting beans in spring, you can use the row sowing method. First, dig a few grooves in the soil, sow seeds along the grooves, and then cover them with soil and plastic film. After the beans sprout, you can remove the film.

Precautions for planting spring beans

After the spring bean seedlings grow out, they need to be thinned out according to their growth momentum. Generally, this is done when the seedlings grow to 5-6 cm. During the growth period of the seedlings, water must be replenished and the soil must be kept moist and not dry.
