Cultivation methods and precautions of Ficus ginseng

Cultivation methods and precautions of Ficus ginseng

1. Soil

It is recommended to use loose, fertile, well-drained acidic soil or humus soil mixed with leaf mold for the potting soil.

2. Lighting

It likes sunlight and tolerates partial shade. It requires a growing environment with sufficient light. If it can see sunlight for several hours every day, the plant can grow more vigorously. In summer, care should be taken to avoid direct outdoor sunlight.

3. Temperature

The temperature suitable for its growth is 18-33℃. Pay attention to frost protection in winter and sun protection in summer. Too low temperature in winter may cause leaves to fall off, and in severe cases, the plant may freeze to death.

4. Watering

It likes a warm growing environment. The moisture of the potting soil can be controlled, but there must not be water accumulation. You can water it when the potting soil is about to dry, but you must not go to extremes and wait until the potting soil is completely dry before watering it.

5. Fertilization

Under normal circumstances, fertilize it once every season, and 3-4 times a year will be enough.

6. Notes

1. The newly bought ginseng fig may drop leaves. Don’t worry, it also needs to adapt to the new environment. It may also be that it was just planted by the merchant, so dropping leaves is a normal phenomenon.

2. It does not need to be repotted frequently, generally once every 1-2 years is sufficient.
