When and how to plant radish

When and how to plant radish

Radish planting time

Radish can be planted all year round as long as the climate is suitable. In the northern region, it is generally planted in early March in spring, using small arch sheds and mulch covering. After sowing, as long as it is properly maintained, the seedlings will emerge quickly.

How to grow radish

1. Seed selection and soaking: Before sowing, you need to choose varieties that grow faster, and the grains must be full and free of diseases. Then you need to soak them in warm water, take them out after 12 hours, dry them, and place them in an environment of 23 to 28 degrees for germination.

2. Land preparation and fertilization: Radishes need to be planted in a place that is sheltered from the wind and facing the sun, and the soil needs to be deeply plowed before sowing to reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests, and sufficient farmyard manure should be applied as base fertilizer.

3. Sowing: After sowing, radish will generally sprout within a week as long as the temperature is suitable. After the cotyledons of the seedlings unfold, the ground film can be removed and watered appropriately.

Radish planting precautions

After sowing radish, you must pay attention to the fact that in order to have a relatively high yield, it is best to have a relatively large sowing density, and the soil moisture content should be kept between 70% and 80%. During the growing period, it is necessary to water it every 3-5 days.
