How to grow mushrooms

How to grow mushrooms

1. Choose container and substrate

You can use old fish tanks or glass containers to grow mushrooms. Make a mushroom nutrient bed in the container to provide nutrients for its growth. You can buy the materials for the mixed bed or make them yourself. You can use cottonseed hulls, corn cobs, sawdust, lotus seed shells, etc. Sprinkling a small amount of lime on the bottom of the substrate can greatly help its growth.

2. Planting Method

Just plant the mushroom spores to a depth of about 5 cm in the nutrient medium, and then keep the temperature at around 21°C. After about 3 weeks, thin white mycelium like spider webs will appear on the culture medium. At this time, lower the temperature to around 16°C and cover with 2 to 3 cm of potting soil. Then spray water on the soil frequently to keep it moist, and harvest when the cap is not fully opened.
