When and how to plant foxglove

Foxglove planting time

Foxglove can be sown in the other three seasons except winter. The climate varies in different regions, so the planting time needs to be determined according to the local climate. Generally speaking, its planting time is mainly concentrated in spring and autumn, that is, January to March and August to September.

How to plant foxglove

1. Seed processing: Foxglove planting requires the use of high-quality seeds, and some dry seeds should be removed. After selecting the seeds, they need to be soaked in water for about 4-5 hours, and then disinfected.

2. Sowing soil: Foxglove is generally sown in sunny, sheltered and flat land. The weeds on the soil need to be removed, and the soil needs to be leveled and cultivated.

3. Sowing: After processing the foxglove seeds, you can spread them evenly in the soil. The sowing depth needs to be kept at about 2 cm. Cover with a thin layer of soil, and then water to keep it moist.

Precautions for planting foxglove

1. After the foxglove seedlings grow 3-5 true leaves, they can be transplanted. After transplanting, they need to be watered in time, which can promote slow growth. In normal times, the soil should be loosened regularly.

2. Foxglove requires more fertilizer during the seedling stage and needs to be fertilized regularly to promote the healthy growth of the seedlings. Organic fertilizer is generally used.
