When and how to plant snow peas

Snow pea planting time

In spring, they are generally sown in March, and in autumn, they are planted in September.

How to plant snow peas

1. Soil: Snow peas usually have no requirements for the soil for planting, because they have relatively good growth ability and can grow in most soils. However, it should be noted that acidic soil cannot be used for planting.

2. Germination: Before sowing snow peas, you need to select suitable seeds. They must be plump and healthy. Then, you need to do a good job of germination. You need to soak them for 5 hours and place them in a suitable environment for germination.

3. Sowing: After processing the snow pea seeds, you can sow them. Generally, you will use the broadcasting method to evenly spread the seeds in the soil and cover them with a thin layer of soil. You should also water them appropriately to keep the soil moist.

Things to note when planting snow peas

1. After sowing snow peas, good management work needs to be done. Shallow tillage and loosening of the soil should be carried out in time, and the temperature of the soil should also be increased, which can promote better rooting and germination of the seeds.

2. If snow peas are planted in autumn, you need to add soil to them before winter so that they can be kept warm during the winter.
