Cultivation methods and precautions of pennywort

Cultivation methods and precautions of pennywort

1. Maintenance conditions

1. Soil: It is better to give it loose, well-drained fertile soil. Mixed soil such as garden soil is more suitable for breeding. Keep the soil slightly dry, not too wet.

2. Light: It is shade-tolerant, but it prefers to grow in places with better sunlight. A sunny environment can make its leaves grow better. If the environment is too dark, it will easily cause the leaves to wilt.

3. Watering: It is not tolerant to moisture and should be watered moderately. Usually, watering can be done after the soil in the pot becomes dry. When the temperature is high, you can water the plant sufficiently, but you must also pay attention to water control to prevent water accumulation or excessive water on rainy days that may cause the plant to die.

4. Fertilization: It does not require high fertilizers and can be fertilized once a month. Do not apply fertilizer too close to the plant to avoid excessive fertilizer causing the plant to not grow normally and die. It is usually appropriate to use diluted fertilizer water, which will not burn the plants and is more conducive to their absorption of nutrients.

2. Precautions

Proper pruning to promote more branches can make it grow stronger, prompt it to be evenly distributed, and grow faster. When pruning, mainly cut off the overgrown branches, diseased branches and dead branches, especially the branches that are diseased, which should be cut off as soon as possible, otherwise they will be infected.
