When is the right time to sow hibiscus? Season and method

Hibiscus sowing time

Hibiscus belongs to the Malvaceae family of the Malvaceae order and can be planted once a year. Hibiscus is best planted in March and April, when there is plenty of sunshine and the climate is warm. From the perspective of climatic conditions, hibiscus is very suitable for planting in March and April.

Hibiscus sowing method

1. Soil: When sowing hibiscus, you need to use loose, fertile and well-breathable soil. The flowerpot should not be too large and should have good breathability to reduce water accumulation and root rot.

2. Planting: Hibiscus needs to be planted when sowing. Fertilizer should be applied during planting, usually mainly farmyard manure, with a small amount of compound fertilizer added. At the same time, cutting off some branches and leaves is more conducive to survival.

Hibiscus Planting Tips and Techniques

1. Fertilizer and water management: When planting hibiscus, water it appropriately during droughts to keep the soil moist to supply the nutrients needed for growth. If it is in a long-term drought, it needs to be watered, and when there is too much rain, drainage is required to prevent waterlogging.

2. Shaping and pruning: Hibiscus needs to be shaped and pruned when it is planted. Newly planted hibiscus plants are smaller and can be left to grow or lightly pruned in the first 1 to 2 years. Dead branches and diseased and insect-infested weak branches should be cut off in autumn and winter.
