Can alum root be hydroponically cultivated? Hydroponics methods and precautions

Can alum root be grown hydroponically?

Alum root can be cultivated in hydroponics or in soil. However, the hydroponics process is more complicated and requires regular addition of nutrient solution to the water solution to maintain nutrients. The soil culture process is relatively simple and does not require particularly careful maintenance to keep it alive.

Alum root hydroponic culture method

1. Select branches: When hydroponically cultivating alum root, you need to select healthy branches that are free of pathogens, then trim the branches and dry the cut parts. Such branches can reduce the growth of bacteria.

2. Insert into water: When alum root is cultivated hydroponically, after selecting the branches, insert the branches into clean water, leaving one-third of the root length exposed to the outside to ensure that the roots can contact the air. Generally, the cultivation process of alum root hydroponics takes about 15 to 20 days for rooting.

Precautions for growing alum root in water

1. Add nutrient solution: During the hydroponic culture of alum root, nutrient solution needs to be added every 10 to 15 days. This cycle can maintain the nutrients of the alum root during the hydroponic culture process.

2. Change water: During the process of hydroponics of alum root, the water needs to be changed in time. When the water in the container is found to be turbid, the water should be replaced in time to ensure that the alum root can grow healthily.
