How to grow Asiatic lily

How to grow Asiatic lily

1. Soil

Asiatic lilies thrive in fertile, well-drained soil. It prefers a slightly acidic environment and can use a slightly acidic soil with a pH value of 6.5. You can also add some leaf mold when preparing the soil to improve soil quality and increase soil fertility.

2. Temperature

During maintenance, it is most appropriate to control the temperature at around 16-24℃. It likes a warm environment, and cooling and insulation measures should be taken in summer and winter, otherwise the stems and leaves will wither.

3. Watering

It likes a humid environment, so water it in small amounts each time and water it frequently to keep the pot moist. Do not allow water to accumulate in the pot, as this may cause the roots to rot.

4. Lighting

It is not a particularly sun-loving plant, but we still need to give it plenty of light. Provide it with at least 6 hours of sunlight every day in spring, autumn and winter, and avoid direct sunlight in summer.

5. Pests and diseases

Asiatic lilies are susceptible to aphids and fungal infections. When aphids and fungal infections are discovered, they should be treated with appropriate medications as soon as possible. So as to avoid making it difficult to recover or even causing the death of the plant.

6. Pruning

During its growth period, it can be pruned to cut off some weak branches, diseased branches and dead branches. Cutting off some excess leaves and residual flowers after flowering can promote the next flowering.
