Can Begonia be hydroponically cultivated? Hydroponics cutting method and precautions

Can Begonia be grown hydroponically?

Begonias can be grown hydroponically, and have certain advantages over soil cultivation, because begonias grown in this way are very beautiful, can bloom more densely, and when paired with other flowers, they can appear more chic and elegant.

Methods and key points of hydroponic cultivation of Begonia

1. Prepare the container

When hydroponically cultivating Begonia, you need to prepare a glass bottle with a diameter of about 8-10 cm as a container, and clean and disinfect it before use.

2. Treat the plants

Pick a flowering branch from the base of the Begonia for hydroponic propagation. Apply some wood ash to the wound for disinfection and add an appropriate amount of rooting powder to the water.

3. Carry out hydroponics

Put two-thirds of clean water in the container, immerse the processed begonia branches directly into the water, and then place them in a cool, ventilated environment for maintenance.

Precautions for growing Begonia in water

Pay attention to the maintenance methods after hydroponically cultivating the Begonia. It is necessary to change the water once a week. If the Begonia does not take root, there is no need to add nutrient solution to it and avoid exposing it to strong sunlight.
